The “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and leader of social media’s MomTok, Taylor Frankie Paul, has had a video recovered from 2023 of her committing acts of domestic violence leading to the halt of her highly anticipated season of ABC’s “The Bachelorette”.
Aired on Season 1 of “Secret Lives…”, when she was with her partner Dakota Mortenson, she was seen talking to the police for a disturbance. It had been later exposed that she was charged with domestic violence against Mortenson, and after a timeskip in the show, she had to serve probation.
On social media, her children were seen present in the video and were involved in the incident. She than faced much backlash and opinions were shared by her castmates that supported her but were not in support of her actions.
COMPASS sophomore Eva Garza says, “I do believe in her cancellation because even though it was a long time ago, putting her children in these environments is not safe.”

Her domestic abuse actions have begun to resurface now in 2026. TMZ featured a clip of her throwing three metal chairs at Mortenson. This resulted in ABC, the network that hosts the reality dating show, “The Bachelorette”, to cancel Season 22 of The Bachelorette, which was set to air March 22, 2026.
PEACE senior Brynn Robinson says, “I think what she did was wrong, however, the people of “The Bachelorette” knew she had a reputation [for domestic violence] before they decided to have her on the show.”
Although it is unclear if Paul will return to “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” for Season Five, it’s known that her highly anticipated “Bachelorette” season will not be publicly aired although fully filmed and edited.
