For twelve years, students have worked tirelessly in an effort to make it to this point: graduation. Decision Day is when seniors publicly represent which college or university they plan to attend next fall.

On May 20, Millikan held its annual Decision Day during 6th period.
COMPASS senior Madison Caserais explained that deciding was “unbelievably stressful,” and took careful consideration in her college decision. “It came down to what my family could afford,” says Caserais, who will be attending UC Berkeley next fall. “I’m excited to move to the next chapter.”
Similarly, PEACE senior Audrey Rayes says, “I was hesitant because of the stigma around going to LBCC.” At LBCC, Long Beach students are given two years of free education.
Every student at this event could enter a raffle to win an iPad, Owalla waterbottle, Northface backpack and gift cards.
The event was organized with a clear intention to congratulate the seniors in their decisions, providing lots of music, food, and places to take photos with friends. The event, put on by Millikan’s College and Career Center and sponsored by ASB, was incredibly supportive and successful.
