TikTok has proven to be a predominant source of giving online fame to upcoming creators on the platform and being a bridge towards Hollywood success.
In 2020, one TikTok content house stood predominantly over the others. The “Hype House” started by Alex Warren, Thomas Petrou, and Chase Hudson created a house that would partake in dance trends to popular sounds, pranks, or food trends.
The house consisted of some of the platform’s largest creators, such as Charli D’Amelio, Addison Rae, Chase Hudson, Noah Beck, and Alex Warren. As the content house died down towards 2021, these influencers turned to chase Hollywood fame in music, dancing, and acting.
PEACE junior, Vivianna Gallardo-Reyes says, “I feel like [TikTok] gives people the opportunity to get acting roles, but sometimes it’s not always deserved, [it’s] more like nepotism.”
Joining the music industry, Grammy
nominated artists Addison Rae and Alex Warren are prime examples of the Hype House to Hollywood pipeline. Their year was far from quiet as they released their debut albums “Addison” and “You’ll be Alright, Kid” respectively. Utilizing her large TikTok following, Rae charted on the Billboard Hot 100 at 54 for her smashing 2024 single, “Diet Pepsi.” Warren followed with his single from his newest album, “Ordinary” which peaked at one for ten consecutive weeks.
Many Millikan students are in support of Rae’s career. QUEST sophomore Alexa Fiegen-Ghavimi says, “Not only do I love her music, I have been to her concert and would go again and again as she provides a stage presence that hasn’t been matched within the music industry in years.”
Warren and Rae aren’t the only members to achieve Hollywood fame. Noah Beck and Chase Hudson have had equally successful years in the entertainment industry. On popular streaming platform TUBI, Noah Beck and Chase Hudson are the lead heartthrobs in TikTok acclaimed movies. In 2025, Beck stars in the movie, “Sidelined: The QB and Me” and in 2026, Hudson stars in the movie “How to Lose a Popularity Contest.”

COMPASS sophomore Abri DiRosa says, “I think [the roles] are deserved. I think they’re talented, and I think the roles are well earned, but I do think they’re because… they’re TikTok stars.”
TikTok’s biggest dancing star, Charli D’Amelio hasn’t been as active on the platform, but has been landing acting and dancing roles outside of it. In 2024, D’Amelio debuted in the ensemble of the hit Broadway musical “& Juliet” and recently ended her 11 month run of the show.
As these past TikTokers rise to fame, it is interesting to note that a majority of these stars bridged themselves to become inspiring and popular Hollywood celebrities.
