The Millikan Boys Volleyball team just completed their 2025 season finishing 4th in the Moore League. They made it to the first round of CIF playoffs where they lost an incredibly close game against Norwalk during CIF playoffs on Wednesday, Mar. 30. Their season was full of ups and downs, proving to be a difficult test for this young squad of players.
“We had some key players go down at critical times this year and so I think that cost us a few places in league,” said Millikan Boys Volleyball coach and English teacher Mr. Johnson.

Captain John Cammarata, a Senior in the QUEST pathway, played a crucial part in leading this shorthanded squad through the rest of the season.
“Throughout the season, I mainly focused on polishing skills like digging, passing, and overall effort,” explained Cammarata when asked about his personal achievements throughout the season.
Johnson added that he, “wants the captain to be a team leader in rallying the team and bringing out the best in people.”
One of the major issues for this Millikan squad throughout the year was closing out games. Several times this year, the team was able to get to the fifth set, but were unable to walk away with the victory. This was unfortunately the case once again when the Rams faced Norwalk in the first round of the CIF playoffs.
The squad finished the year with a 12-14 record and look forward to improving on this record next year with a squad that will have better experience and be completely healthy.
