In a groundbreaking revelation, 2,400 previously classified files related to the assassination of former President John F. Kennedy (JFK) have been uncovered, following an executive order from President Donald Trump.
The documents, which include intelligence reports, witness testimonies, and internal communications, provide fresh insights into the circumstances surrounding the tragic assassination from 1963.

Todd Osborn, QUEST AP US History teacher states, “[The files] will serve to be further evidence that the Oswald theory is the correct theory.”
Among the significant findings are details about potential threats from various international actors, internal political strife, and the extent of surveillance on Lee Harvey Oswald. Oswald’s theory suggests he was the lone gunman who assassinated Kennedy.
JFK’s assassination was a crucial moment that changed the course of American history and casted a dark shadow over the Kennedy family. Osborn adds, “Americans imagine the potential and what was lost and what could have happened.”
For many years, the Kennedy family was often referred to as the great American dynasty and a significant subject of public fascination and admiration. Nonetheless, the family has continued to play a significant role in American politics and public life extending to the present day.

Jack Schlossberg, the grandson of JFK, has carried forward the legacy with a blend of public service and advocacy. Using Instagram, Schlossberg uses his platform to engage with followers on important issues focusing on his cousin, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, and his stance on vaccines and health misinformation.
As the public and scholars dive into the newly uncovered assassination files, there is hope that these revelations will bring a greater understanding of the complexities that surrounded one of America’s most iconic leaders and his family.

Dear Corydon Editor,
On April 2, 2025 Jordan Guzman wrote an Article called JFK Files Revealed: The Kennedy Dynasty. Guzman approaches a subject matter and historical plot line typically shrouded in questioning and mystery; the newly declassified files breathe new life into a historical period often obscured by intrigue and unanswered questions. I appreciate the unbiased writing and the source quotations from historians like Todd Osborn to ground the article in a scholarly framework.
Nonetheless, I suggest to the author to take it further. While this article references some of the files, including foreign threats and domestic surveillance, Guzman does not begin to explore how this new information changes or disrupts our understanding of Oswald’s motives or the larger implications these documents have for how the U.S. intelligence apparatus operated in and around the events of November 22nd. To that end, I recommend a follow up article that picks apart some of the more shocking or overlooked details.
This is an opportunity to look back and consider how secrets, power, and truth collide and intersect in American government. We should use these files to revisit the past and to examine how much we are still not being told.
Sincerely,
Brandon Flores

On April 25, 2025, Jordan Guzman wrote an article titled “JFK Files Revealed: The Kennedy Dynasty”. This article proved an informative summary of the newly released files regarding the assassination of former U.S. president John F. Kennedy and his family’s influence in American politics.
Guzman’s description of the Kennedy family as a whole and not solely the life of JFK was a great addition for the larger context of these released files. Furthermore, her explanation of the present day influence and impact of the Kennedy family exhibits the importance of this American dynasty over the course of 20th and 21st century politics.
The quote from Millikan’s U.S. history teacher on the release of these documents demonstrates the reactions from professionals that have a deeper understanding of this topic and what it means for the past and the present. This fascinating perspective added by Guzman shows how much these unclassified documents will either reinforce or deconstruct American history.

Guzman did an exceptional job of explaining to the audience why the files were released and what the new files contained. This included details such as intelligence reports, witness testimonies, and internal communications, and then he explained how it further supports the Oswald theory. I admire how Guzman presented this and how he further exemplified what the Oswald theory is. Additionally, the comment from our AP United States History teacher, Mr. Osbon, provides a credible source on the topic. Guzman also presented the idea of how American history would have looked if JFK hadn’t been assassinated, and this allows the reader to consider it. I appreciate that Guzman informed the audience on JFK’s family, and how they play a role and influence in American politics today. I was not personally was not aware that Jack Schlossberg was Kennedy’s grandson. A suggestion I recommend is providing context on who Lyndon Johnson was, since there is a picture of him, and how he connects to the new files revealed. Overall, I enjoyed reading this article because it provided fresh insight in American history and was a well-written informative piece.
