“The Glow House is a movement to uplift and empower this generation. Our mission is to inspire confidence, spread positivity, and be the big sister figure many people never had,” says influencer and founder Gianna Harner in a TikTok.
The Glow House is a group gathering of 14 female teenage influencers from ages 13-19 (with no age limit) who primarily use a shared TikTok account to promote their cause. “The house” gained 1 million followers in three days on TikTok, and 1.7 million current followers. Unlike other trending houses such as the Hype House and the Sway House, we can infer that the Glow House members won’t live together due to the fact that most of the members are minors, although nothing has been officially confirmed yet.

The Glow House has had recent complications and controversy online over whether or not their mission is truly being executed because many people think that it’s just a huge influencer “collab” for clout. But Harner clarifies in a recent TikTok that all the members will meet five times a year by using their platform to create meaningful content that supports their main goal to attempt to make an impact to empower girls.
So far, “the house” has only made content and TikToks releasing members and advertising their cause. The Glow House is officially starting on Apr. 10, 2025 and the Glow House Party is on Apr. 12, 2025 in LA with more details to come. The release of their podcast centered around giving advice to girls called “Glow and Grow,” will also be released on this day.
Sophie Redman, a sophomore in COMPASS, has been keeping up with the Glow House and says, “I don’t think that there’s any diversity. They need to do a better job on being inclusive.” Redman refers to the majority of the house being stereotyped as “basic white girls,” the harsh reality that the Glow House is facing with many people on the internet.
This new content house craze is an up and coming trend, so stay tuned for the completion of the Glow House and what it may bring in the future!

Dear Corydon Editor,
On October 4, 2025, Rose Varley wrote an article titled “The Glow House Tik tok Fame”. The way she explained the meaning of the house and the purpose they made it, really helps the reader understand what the rest of the article will be about. Additionally, I liked how she was able to include the members and how many followers they gained and how many days, because it kept me very intrigued and excited to read what was next. Something I feel that could’ve been done, in addition to what was already written, is adding another positive factor after the refute, to make the ending flow with an ending that is in the writer’s favor. Everything in this piece was very interesting, and new, but also trending enough for people to know which can keep the reader wanting more every sentence. Therefore, overall this is a very informative, and interesting article that should be read by many more students.

On April 4, 2025, Rose Valrey wrote an article titled “The Glow House Tik Tok Fame”. I think Rose Valrey chose a really good topic to write about, as the glow house is trending right now, people should be more aware of what it’s really about. As the article states it says how the glow house states themselves as diversity. Yet, in the glow house it’s not diverse, there’s only mostly one race in the glow house.
The addition of false diversity can hurt the community, itself as it characterizes people in that house as only that specific race, white people. What I’ve heard about the glow house is that it rarely promotes any diverse races, and when it does, it’s only one or two different races. Yet, they don’t typically stay in the glow house raising suspicion on its true diversity. I think this really highlights a common topic on social media, involving diversity. As it’s already an issue in the world, Rose Valrey writing about this puts out awareness.
Overall, I think Rose Valrey successfully communicated the awareness on the issue of diversity, I enjoyed researching and learning about the glow house and more things l hadn’t already known.

On April 4, 2025, Rose Varley wrote an enticing article titled, “The Glow House TikTok Fame.” The article covers the new trend of the “Glow House” which is a collaboration of 14 teenage girls famous for being influencers. Their goal is to provide a big sister community for younger girls through spreading kindness, confidence, and positivity. Varley moves to question whether or not the Glow House is all that different from other collabs, such as the “Hype House” or the “Sway House”. These houses had no real goal, other than to gain followers and grow their platforms. A group of influencers would live together to feed off of each other’s popularity, often resulting in drama that would last for days. This is where the differences started however, as the “Glow House” girls are mostly underaged, and therefore will not actually live in the same house for large amounts of time. To continue, many are concerned with the diversity of the group, feeling that the “Glow House” is only feeding into the “basic white girl” personality. Varley did an excellent job of explaining how the “Glow House” has not officially started, and all that we have seen so far is just promoting the start of it. Overall, Varley’s fantastic report on the “Glow House” leaves nothing to be desired.

On April 4th, 2025, Rose Varley wrote an article titled “The Glow House TikTok Fame.” In this article, Varley begins with providing context to the growing fame of the “Glow House.” She includes that the Glow House is a group of 14 female teenagers who promote their causes’ through TikTok videos. Varley states that some of their causes for creating this environment are to make an impact to empower girls of all ages. Moreover, Rose also includes a personal interview with Sophie Redman, who shares that she believes there is no diversity in the Glow House.
I appreciated the way Rose Varley brought some different perspectives to the idea of the Glow House, particularly when including first person interviews. Furthermore, I also admired how Varley’s article provided a significant amount of context behind the intentions and characteristics of the upcoming group. Lastly, I would like to see a few more interviews regarding the mixed opinions on the diversity of the Glow House.

On April 4, 2025, Rose Varley wrote an article titled “The Glow House TikTok Fame”. This article highlights the newly trending influencer house and also describes its current updates along with some issues that the group has already faced within its arrangement. Varley goes into detail about the specific events that the house has coming up as well as the main group of girls that are involved in this gathering. The author also brings light as to what the house was created for and uses a quote from one of the members, Giana Harner which mentions that ¨The Glow House is a movement to uplift and empower this generation.¨ By adding this quote Varley is able to express the true nature and purpose of what this influencer group is working towards.
My favorite feature of Varley´s article is how she adds the controversial part of the house and its projects rather than just focusing on what the house claims to be about. I think that by adding this she is creating diversity in her article and allows the readers to see that whatever you see on social media may not be as true as you think. I also like that she uses a quote from another student, Sophie Redman in COMPASS, to show that she is not biased towards the influencer group and uses Redman´s words as a back up. Overall I think this was a well written article that was very informative.

At a glance, this issue initially caught my eye because I had immediately wondered, “what is the Glow House?” Coming from someone who had only heard about it from Tiktok and not knowing what it actually was, Varley does a great job of informing readers about it! The thorough research done on this issue is a clear example of Varley’s passion for journalism. Yet, I wonder what inspired the idea of this article. Having seen a few videos of the Glow House members but not actually knowing what this content house is about, Varley writes with such expertise to let us know.
When members of the Glow House would pop up on my own ForYou page on Tiktok, I, too, had thought that this was a mere scheme for clout and something without purpose. However, Varley’s research proved me wrong and informs readers that the Glow House is aimed to make impactful content towards young girls on the app. What truly made me want to continue my reading was Varley’s approach of adding a new perspective to the commentary towards this content house. The student perspective from a viewer of these content creators and observation of lack of diversity in that house truly elevated the issue.

On April 4, 2025, Rosa Varley wrote an article titled “The Glow House TikTok Fame”.
This topic was a great idea to cover since most teens are on TikTok and probably know about the emergence of the glow house. I also agree with Redman about how the Glow House has little to no diversity, and I believe that if the Glow House wants to become more popular, it needs to be inclusive to all. Furthermore, I like how Varley inserted a quote from one of the glow house members because it gives more insight into this movement.
However, there isn’t a lot said about the members and what they film. I suggest mentioning the types of content they film and their setting. I also recommended stating the more popular Glow House members because that may intrigue the content creators’ audience to read this article. All in all, I enjoyed reading this article, and I like how present this issue is, so people are still interested in this topic.

On April 4, 2025, Rose Varley published an article titled “The Glow House TikTok Fame”. Varley recaps a recent tiktok “House” in which a group of 14 girls ages 13-17 will collaborate using a shared tik tok account to support their cause, empowering young girls to be confident and successful. The members of this house will meet multiple times a year to create content which caters to teen girls. By using their large platforms, these young influencers have created a following of up to 1.7 million people. Although controversy surrounds this group of girls, they are handling it very professionally and keeping a positive spirit.

She includes perspectives from current Millikan students to gain credibility and add depth to her article. In conclusion, Varleys article about the upcoming Glow House is very well done and relevant within today’s society.
