Isabel LaRosa is a 20 year old American rising alternative pop (alt-pop) star who was signed in 2021 to RCA Records, the same company popular artists SZA and Tate McRae are signed to.
Suhey Santilian, a junior in PEACE said, “I don’t know too much about her but I’ve heard [about] her on Instagram and TikTok. Her music caught my attention, I know a few songs.”
LaRosa grew up around music, she started writing songs with her brother, Thomas LaRosa in middle school as a duo called “LaRosa” only releasing three songs, “Ghost_Town,” “Scared,” and “Run_Away.” Once signed to RCA Records, Isabel LaRosa released singles underneath her own name. “16 Candles” was her debut, later releasing “Closer,” “GAMEBOY,” and “Therapy.” She released her debut extended-play (EP), “i’m watching you” in 2022, containing more songs than a single and less than an album, the EP has three songs, the most popular being “HAUNTED.”
Following her debut EP, she released two singles, “HEARTBEAT” and her first big hit, “i’m yours” in 2022, gaining attention and as of January 19th, 2025 having “490 million streams [on Spotify]” according to the chartslarosa fanpage on Instagram. LaRosa’s main platform to share her music was social media, mainly TikTok with her account isabellarosasofia, then creating her newest and more popular account official_isabellarosa.

Isabel LaRosa was still an upcoming small artist, however she was slowly gaining popularity and becoming recognized as more of her alt-pop
songs were released with their moody vibe, enchanting lyrics and good beats.
In 2023, a year after her first EP release LaRosa dropped another called “YOU FEAR THE GOD THAT LOVES YOU” this time containing five songs. After this, she released two more singles, “eyes don’t lie” and another song that became popular to lip sync to via TikTok, “older.”In 2024 LaRosa released only three songs, “favorite” and “Pretty Boy,” both gaining popularity on TikTok. The most recent song LaRosa’s released is called “Muse,” however she’s one to tease different and new songs. On her social media platforms, she often gives snippets of new and unreleased songs, if they get enough spotlight, she might decide to release them.
The first tour she performed was as an opener with her brother Thomas LaRosa, for Nessa Barret’s “Young Forever Tour” in the U.S.Europe, (including UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands). Then in 2024, Isabel LaRosa went on the “Gods Watching Tour”, having a joint tour with Ari Abdul, and Thomas LaRosa as their opener. Afterwards she went on her own tour, the “Heaven Doesn’t Wait” that started in 2024 and is ending soon on Mar. 15, 2025.
In the new year 2025, Isabel LaRosa performed at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball with her brother Thomas. Jingle Ball is one of the holiday season’s biggest music festivals historically featuring artists such as Gracie Abrams and Kesha.
While LaRosa may be getting more popular, not many people at Millikan listen to her. The Millikan Corydon posted an Instagram story asking if anyone knew her, no one replied.
Another student Jazline Arpon, a sophomore in SEGA, said, “My music was on [shuffle] and one of her songs started to play,” explaining how she was introduced to Isabel LaRosa and her music.
Recently, LaRosa has been teasing multiple new songs, “Home” the one song in which she has mentioned multiple times during her promotional videos that it’s going to be releasing soon. On Feb. 4, 2025 she announced the song will be out on all platforms on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2025. On February 13th, she announced a brand new “Psychopomp” tour, starting Apr. 18, 2025 in San Diego, California. Then, once “Home” was released, on Valentine’s Day, she announced her debut album titled “Raven,” coming in spring of 2025.
Isabel LaRosa has come a long way since her middle school songwriting hobby, now having 11.6 million monthly listeners just on Spotify alone. Her and her music continue to grow each time a song is released, and her professional music career still has a long way to go.
