As the credits begin to roll for the year 2020, there are a few highly anticipated movies to expect in late 2020 and 2021.
A few of the movies set to be released include, Wonder Woman 1984: The second film in the newest Wonder Woman series; No Time to Die: another addition to the James Bond franchise; Black Widow: a film highlighting the early life of Avenger, Natasha Romanov; The King’s Man: a prequel to the 2 films apart of the Kingsman series; Top Gun Maverick: a sequel to the action-adventure film Top Gun; and Dune: a sci-fi film which is part of the Marvel universe.
Many eagerly awaited movies that were planned to be released in 2020 have been pushed back to next year, 2021.
Due to COVID-19, many of these films will not be available to be screened in theaters. People are staying home and places are shutting down in order to stop the spread of the virus. Although some details are unknown, many new films released should be available for rent or on a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, and etc.
According to PEACE English teacher, Ms. Frapwell, “I heard that one of the major networks is going to be releasing all new movies on HBO Max and Disney already does that with Disney+. I’m patient enough to wait until I can watch them at home until it is safe to go to theaters again.”
Although these great action and adventure movies may not be seen in front of a giant screen, people can enjoy watching these movies in the comfort of their own home. This can help to stop the spread of COVID-19 and keep others safe until theaters can open up safely again.
