Dear Corydon Editor,
On January 10, 2025, Lucia Chan wrote an article titled “Tyler, The Creator: Chromakopia”. In this article, Chan mentions, how big this album has been since its release. She mentioned how the album went number one in its first week as well as getting over 85 million streams on Spotify on the first day making it the biggest hip-hop album of 2024. She explains how many of the songs on this album are about very personal topics from events and times in Tyler’s life and allows fans to try to understand what he went through growing up without a father and many other hardships he may have faced. I think the reason why this album was so big was the fact that it was so personal to Tyler. Normally Tyler is known as a clown and his music is very unserious, but in this project, he really changed. He spent a lot of time creating an amazing album and talking about things that many people haven’t heard from him before. I think this personal feel really helped people connect with him and this is the reason he was able to create such a massive album.
Sincerely,
Jalen Stewart
